Basic Medical

Teach to Transform equips partners around the world with medical and vocational skills they can use to share the gospel of Christ.

The idea for Teach to Transform came from Dr. Tom, an ER doctor for over 35 years. He has embraced the new philosophy of short-term mission trips to “go and teach” rather than “go and do”.

Teaching Topics

Teach To Transform focuses its educational efforts on some of the most remote and underserved areas globally. In many of these regions, access to medical services is limited, and knowledge of anatomy and medical care is basic.  By providing international students with essential medical skills, they become valuable resources in their communities, offering crucial medical assessments and educating on common illnesses. International students trained by TTT receive instruction in the following areas:
  • Health & Hygiene
  • Vital Signs
  • Wound & Burn Care
  • Cholera
  • Newborn Care At Birth
  • Newborn Care Follow Up

Discipleship

TTT collaborates with churches and established missions organizations in remote areas to pinpoint potential students,  some of which may already have a background in discipleship. Upon finishing their training, Teach To Transform provides its global partners with Medical and Baby backpacks to aid in community service and outreach. These medical skills and backpacks not only serve as instruments to help others' physical health but also create avenues to spread the gospel in communities that may initially be unreceptive.

Get Involved

If you would like to be a team member on an international trip, Teach To Transform provides team member trainings multiple times per year.  Team member trainings  go through each of the modules that are taught abroad and also provide insight on what to expect on trips.  Learn more about upcoming trips and trainings by clicking below.
