Emotional Trauma Healing

A few years ago, our lives were turned upside down. My husband was caught with a Bible in our home—something forbidden in our country. He hadn’t even read it yet, but he sensed its value, felt its weight in his heart. The ultimatum was clear: get rid of it or be forced to leave. We chose exile over denial.
We fled as refugees to a neighboring country, leaving behind everything we knew. It was there, in the middle of uncertainty and fear, that I heard about a trauma healing group at a local community center. I didn’t know what to expect, but I went—carrying wounds I didn’t yet have words for.
There, I learned that Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted. And that was me. What I experienced in that circle of women was unlike anything I’d known in the religion of my childhood. As they prayed for me, I felt peace flood places in my soul that had only known pain. I began to forgive. I began to heal. And eventually, I surrendered my life to Jesus.
I was afraid to tell my husband. But I didn’t need to be. Unknown to me, he had been secretly reading the Bible all along. He, too, had found hope in its pages. Not long after, we were baptized together.
Today, we no longer hide. Our hearts are healed, and our family transformed—because someone created a safe place for emotional trauma to be named, and for Jesus to do what only He can: restore.

Basic Medical
After being trained in West Africa, one of our students took his newly learned medical skills into a village of all unbelievers. As is customary, they first needed permission from the village King to offer medical services.
When they arrived, they quickly noticed that the King himself appeared ill. After examining him, they discovered he was suffering from high blood pressure and a fever caused by an infection. With wisdom and care, they consulted a professional medical provider and helped the king receive the treatment he needed.
This simple act of love and service opened a powerful door: not only did the king warmly welcome them to serve the village, but he also gave them land to build a church — and committed that it would never be vandalized, nor the people persecuted.

Farming God's Way

Kumar grew up in a devout Hindu family in the Uttar Pradesh region, one of the most dangerous places for Christians in India. When he gave his life to Jesus, his family disowned him, holding a funeral as if he were dead.
Still, he stood firm in his faith. He became a pastor, sharing the Gospel despite intense persecution. Time and time again, as his churches grew, angry mobs attacked—beating him and his congregation, driving them out of their villages. After years of struggle, he gave up. He moved to the city, built a comfortable life, but inside, he felt empty. Alcohol became his escape—until one night, Jesus appeared to him in a dream, calling him back to his mission.
On his way to start another church, he was in a terrible accident—his body broken, his blood nearly gone. The doctors said he wouldn’t survive. But he refused treatment, trusting Jesus to heal him. For weeks, he struggled to even stand, crying out to God: “Heal me or take me home.” Then one morning, after another dream of Jesus, he woke up completely healed.
Today, Kumar leads 130 underground house churches in his region. He knows that public gatherings for preaching are illegal—but teaching farming is not. That’s why Farming God’s Way is a game changer. By equipping farmers with sustainable agriculture skills, he now has a powerful way to gather people, improve their lives, and share the Gospel—all without persecution stopping him.

Discipleship Through Economic Empowerment
In a small village outside South Sudan’s capital, life is anything but easy. Nearly 97% of families in this area live below the poverty line, surviving on less than $20 a month. Most adults have little or no formal education. And yet, hope is rising.
Earlier this year, 23 international students gathered for a Discipleship Through Economic Empowerment training—a course designed not just to teach business skills, but to restore dignity and equip believers to transform their communities through sustainable work and the love of Christ.
Many of these students had never seen a business plan. Most were illiterate or semi-literate. But with practical examples—like raising chickens and understanding cash flow—something clicked. The lessons came to life through group work and real-life application. Elders in their 70s sat beside teens just beginning adulthood. They learned. They dreamed. And they graduated.
Now, 23 trained believers are returning home—not just with knowledge, but with a mission. Their small businesses will impact 345 households, reaching over 70 children in need of food, shelter, and a future.
This is what transformation looks like.
